Endocrine and Neuroendocrine Tumor Center

Logo ENETS.bmpDue to the very heterogeneous and complex pathologies, the treatment of endorcine and neuroendocrine neoplasms requires effective interdisciplinary cooperation. The Neuroendocrine Tumor Center at the University Hospital Zurich was named a certified Center of Excellence by the European Neuroendocrine Tumor Society (ENETS) in 2013.

Our center offers state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment methods, for example, specialized endocrine surgery; specialized diagnostic and interventional gastroenterology; the latest methods in nuclear medicine, including Gallium-68 DOTATATE PET/CT and Lutetium-177 DOTATATE radiopeptide therapy; all relevant methods in pathology to ensure the reliable diagnosis of neuroendocrine tumors; specialized endocrinology, in particular for the evaluation of familial syndromes; and a reference center for medical oncology. The central element of the Neuroendocrine Tumor Center is the interdisciplinary tumor board. During these case discussions, everyone from the various disciplines brings their special knowledge to the table to provide for an optimal diagnosis, therapy and post-treatment of the patients entrusted to their care.
Last but not least, our oncology care is ably supported by our dedicated specialist staff.

Tumor board

University Hospital Zurich's oncology specialists provide care for oncology patients on an interdisciplinary basis. In tumor boards, staff hold interdisciplinary discussions and jointly determine the best treatment for patients.

Referring physicians can register in advance and take part in the boards and present their patients to the board or forward their patient files for evaluation in order to receive a treatment recommendation.

The tumor board takes place every second Monday of the month in Trakt B-OPS Demonstrationssaal 2 (tract B, demonstration room 2). To present patients in a tumor board, please contact
