Patient Reported Outcome

Patient Reported Outcome = Patient-assessed quality criteria or patient evaluation of therapeutic measures

The focus of Patient Reported Outcome is on the perception of a disease and its treatment by the patient. Patient perspective is just as important as clinical parameters for assessing the efficacy of therapies because they provide a unique insight into how a therapy can affect a patient. Patients are asked to complete questionnaires.
